Highlights from the SEND Salaam workshops. The opening session provided a flexible settling-in space, featuring a collage activity and time for reflection. The second session focused on holding space and using clay as a sensory tool for relaxation, with participants creating cups, vases, and even a unique tree sculpture. Alongside the creative activities, there were meaningful discussions around the pressures of school exams, inaccessible toilets and toilet timings for SEND young people, and the need for greater understanding of sensory needs within secondary schools. The workshops created a valuable space for creativity, conversation, and connection.
